We can always learn from these practices of self cultivation which are centuries old but needed more than ever in a world where many people are becoming increasingly disillusioned with the hamster wheel of life and the freedom we thought we had gained from the internet enslaves us even more. Obsessive checking with what everyone else is doing with their lives or watching acts that used to be private. Some of us are beginning to lose our sense of peace when we are constantly bombarded with media and gadgets. The mind disconnects with our senses when our eyes are focused on a screen, our bodies become numb when the mind is concentrating on purely visual images. Using sexual mindfulness one disconnects from stress and anxiety which are often the root cause of premature ejaculation and performance anxiety. Gradually you reach a beautiful place of relaxation using breath work. You are only conscious of the sensations of the moment. Any anxiety of past sexual experiences is let go, freeing one to be fully present in the beauty and ecstasy of the moment. When you truly feel every touch, every tingle, the positive energy and electricity rises bringing us to a heightened state of pleasure and sensuality. With Sexual mindfulness we can nurture a rare intimacy with another or with ourselves. Innovation, science and technology has brought us the world at our fingertips but nothing is as satisfying real touch, scent, birdsong, deep peace and relaxation which are the ultimate of pleasures.
