Natural Ways to Treat Low Libido
'There can be many reasons that cause your sexual desire to plummet and we can look at a few simple things you can do if low libido or lack of sexual energy has just occurred or it's something that has affected you for many years.
If your sex life has always been amazing and then suddenly it's nosedived then hopefully it's something that can be tweaked by a few lifestyle changes, I know this is always talked about but it's the modern diet of processed food that gradually builds up toxins in your body. When you were young alcohol didn't seem to affect you but years of drinking builds up sugars in your body and affects your liver which depletes testosterone levels. Give your liver a rest for 3-4 days and try drinking say Friday to Sunday. And avoid making love after a drink, your body is numb and we all need sensation to feel and connect with our sexual energy.
Milk Thistle which you can get at any wholefood/health store will cleanse your liver.
Lack of sleep, stress and anxiety are the first factors to look at if you're otherwise healthy. Exercise, lifting weights and movement are the best ways to combat stress and help you sleep better. Qi Gong or Tai Chi opens and connects you to your sexual energy. I often treat men who've given up playing sports like Football and Rugby and within a year their sex life has taken a tumble, it's not so much the actual playing of the sport but that does make for a happy healthy life, it's their fitness level and weight gain and an inability to sleep because they're just not so physically tired from training and matches.
Deep breathing which is taught during my sessions is a good way to get all your vital organs working including blood flow to you penis.
If you want to go down the vitamin route as a lack of these vital vitamins can destroy your libido, please note you need to take megadoses of these vitamins for a reaction and kickstart your body.
Magnesium to help you sleep just a small dose is all that's needed of this, but combined with exercise and taking all phones, tablets, laptops out of your bedroom and not using them for 2 hours before bed
Vitamin C - megadose - the only side effect if loose stools and that's when you know your body has enough, try 3 or 4 teaspoons 3-4 times a day.
For Stress and Anxiety- Niacinamide Non Flush B3 and B Complex- megadose
A megadose is taking doses 3/4 times a day until you feel a difference, just up the dose over 3 weeks.
If you feel anxious just try 2 handfuls of cashew nuts a day, I know it sounds weird but you might be surprised at just what little natural things can do.
Sometimes we just feel we're not connecting to our partner in a sexual way, the physical touch has stopped or isn't spontaneous or and maybe also the talking on a deeper or playful level and just having fun. all that can be easily rectified if you haven't been aware.
If none of these works then the situation may be a little more complex and you're welcome to talk to me about other practices that treat low libido that has been affecting you on a long term basis.
Wishing you peace and bliss.
